Sweetfx hotkey3/7/2023 ![]() ![]() Which is absolutely awesome if you are an advanced user and want to customize the looks on your own. The last options causes the sweetfx_settings.txt to be re-read, applying any alterations made within that file immediately ingame, without a need to restart game. ![]() However, the following hotkeys allow you to toggle: I would appreciate feedback on how it runs from other people, especially people with nvidia graphic cards.ġ: Backups - If you don't trust me on my claims, back up your d3d8.dll and enbseries.ini, both located in your Disco\EXE\ folder.Ģ: Extract the archive to Disco\EXE\, confirm overwrites.īoth mods are active on startup. I don't think you can do much more to the game. On the other end, dark systems/areas still get a stronger bloom effect, again simulating the effect of bright lights (especially small spotlights) in dark areas (just imagine headlights of cars on a lone road at night vs day).Īnd because the game still didn't look nice enough, I fiddled a bit further and introduced SweetFX as well.Īgain, I tried not to go overboard and just use subtle effects to make the game look even more awesome.Īnd as both ENB and SweetFX can be very picky about Antialiasing, I fiddled some more to make sure all AA overrides are OK again, allowing FL to be run with the full palette of RadeonPro settings (except "LODBias", which doesn't do anything for FL anyway). Bloom still affects them and brightens the white nebulae up a bit, but it's far more appropiate. This also means systems with bright backgrounds like T37 no longer get the whiteout-overkill. Which means that when you stare into bright lights (suns, ships etc.), you no longer get a whiteout, but the bloom scales down (simulating your eyes getting used to the changed brightness). Where Disco Vanilla just slaps on a "bloom everything all the time to the maximum!" I decided to go for a more balanced approach, also reintroducing the "dynamic" bloom. This has various benefits in terms of perfomance (MUCH improved!) and also visuals. Which is much newer (mostly because it's a DX9 version and not an ancient DX8 one like the current one is) and still works with Freelancer (also eliminates the startup seizure-stroboscope). ![]() So I trashed it and brought in a different ENB version ("Burning Paradise"). IF you want to install without the reshade (to simply add volume control and alt f4), then simply copy d3d11.Got pissed off by the ancient and not-really-awesome default Disco ENB settings. Then run the game with DQH (or with Steam as usual)ĭelete d3d11.dll, d3d11.log, reshade.fx and the reshade folder *if you got the game on Steam it will be in your \Steam\SteamApps\common\Dragon Quest Heroes\ Folder Simply extract the 2 files (and folder) contained in the zip into your \Dragon Quest Heroes\ Folder There are probably other keyboard shortcut that were disabled by the game engine that will now work as well. You can also use alt F4 to exit at a moment notice instead of going to the menu, selecting exit and then "yes". So you are now able to change the volume of windows while ingame (using keyboard or mouse). So with this small shader it fixes all keyboard shortcut!! If the phone or the door ring while I am playing, I needed to be able to mute audio at any time. but being unable to adjust volume using my keyboard shortcut (or mouse macro in my case) was a huge problem. I am somewhat noob when it come to using sweetfx/reshade. You can also use the dll file without the reshade visual change and the keyboard fixes will still work! :) While in game, you can use scroll-lock key on your keyboard to toggle the visuals "on and off" as well! Simply check the pictures comparison "ON and OFF" to see if you like the changes I made! Small reshade preset that darkens the game a tiny bit, while improving anti aliasing and adding some light HDR. THIS will enable keyboard or mouse buttons to control windows volume ingame as well as ALT F4 that are blocked in those games. This is confirmed working in Dragon Quest Heroes 1,
